The Seven Dials Band was formed in 1996 for the recording projects ‘The Music of Dickens and His Time’ and ‘Christmas with Dickens’, both on Beautiful Jo Records Subsequent live performances included a Victorian musical evening at Dickens's home at Gad's Hill in Kent, and a show at the Oxford Playhouse with the actor Freddie Jones performing readings. The band is still available for Victorian events. Bookings:

The Seven Dials’ show at the Oxford Playhouse was a brilliant success.
‘Our feet were tapping and everyone was dying to join in the revelry,’
commented the Oxford Mail.
‘This is the first time that Freddie Jones has joined forces with the Seven Dials Band.
Let’s hope it’s not the last. Judging by the audience reaction, there’s room for more shows like this at the Playhouse.’

Members of the Seven Dials Band presented a Victorian musical evening at Dickens's home at Gad's Hill in Kent on Friday 19th December 1997
